Best Practices for Supply Chain Communication

December 10, 2019

As a long-time supporter of the U.S. EPA Safer Choice Program, Stepan Company is honored to participate in the Safer Choice session of the Household and Commercial Products Association (HCPA) annual meeting, Dec. 9, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Anne Gariepy, Global Marketing Communications Director, discusses best practices for successful supply chain communication during the “Safer Chemistry Supply Chain” panel.

Since 2006, Stepan has listed more than 43 surfactants on CleanGredients® for formulators seeking Safer Choice certification. CleanGredients is a database for chemical ingredients used primarily to formulate residential, institutional, industrial and janitorial cleaning products that have been pre-approved to meet the U.S. EPA’s Safer Choice Standard. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Safer Choice label helps consumers and formulators identify and select products with safer chemical ingredients without sacrificing quality or performance.

Stepan is committed to upholding the program’s mission to help safeguard human and environmental health using safer chemistry. Our latest Safer Choice-certified products, BIO-SOFT® DR-13 and BIO-SOFT DR-139, feature our direct release technology. Both products are intended for direct release into the environment and can be used in a variety of outdoor cleaning applications either as a ready-to-use or as a concentrate.

Stepan believes chemistry can provide sustainable solutions that benefit the environment, promote human well-being, and meet the needs of a growing population.
